July 28th Worship: Christians Are Better Than Non-Christians
Often we hear the charge that we who call ourselves Christians think that we are better than others, especially non-Christians. Or the notion that our faith in Jesus Christ makes us better than non-believers. Yet the Bible does not affirm this. In fact, this Sunday the Apostle Paul argues the opposite: that our weakness as Christians is an opportunity for God’s strength to be revealed. This Sunday at 9:30 or 11:00 am, come and see for yourself that we are not expected to be super human or hold ourselves over others, but that God makes a way for us to discover the freedom from such a burdensome concept, so that we can enjoy the grace we have received and serve without fear of failure.
