October 13th Worship: Joseph, Son of Israel
Jumping back into the first book of the Bible, we discover a slightly salacious story of wrongful imprisonment about the favorite son of Israel, Joseph. His story is filled with verbal attacks, physical assault, covetous conspiracy, and injustice. This Sunday we come into the story of Joseph, having been sold into slavery and taken into a foreign land, has managed to make a life for himself despite his forced servitude. When he refuses to compromise his morals for the wife of his wealthy owner, Joseph is thrown into prison because of her false testimony. God refuses to allow human injustice to destroy the faithful Joseph. This Sunday, at 9:30 or 11:00 Worship come and discover that no prison walls or bars can keep GOD out, or from blessing the faithful.
