A message from Children’s Minister Whitney Huff
My first month as the Children’s Worship Minister has been such a blessing to me. I have enjoyed getting to know some of you and I’m excited to get to know all of you. A vibrant children’s program is essential to the growth and outreach of a church to share the love of Jesus not only within our church walls but to our community. Every single person in our congregation has special interests, gifts and talents that we need to build and strengthen our children’s ministry. We need workers for children’s worship at both the 9 and 11 a.m. services. No experience is needed, just a willingness to serve. We also need people to help support activities and programs for our children. Are you at construction or building? We need games, sets for plays, etc. Are you creative or an artist? We need your talent! Do you like to cook or bake? This is a huge part of a children’s ministry! Do you like drama or skits? This is a great way for kids to learn about God’s word in a way that is relevant to them! Do you like to read or tell stories? Children love to hear stories from the Bible or from your experiences as a child. Time given to children shows them that you care! What better way to exemplify God’s love. Your presence is the greatest gift. Please be a part of our children’s ministry. The adults that served as part of my Christian upbringing are now some of the most memorable and influential people in my life.
The children of CUMC and the community need you! Be blessed by being a blessing!
Love in Christ,
Whitney Huff
