Go: Serve God Like Joseph
In a time when men were expected to bring forth a male heir, Joseph was asked to embrace a child that was not his as his own. He risked public ridicule, condemnation, and humiliation for his faithful response to God’s call. The Christmas story would not have happened, if Joseph had followed his own will or bowed to social pressure. Instead, he risked himself and his reputation to do the will of God. The reward is the joy of Christmas for every Christian, but we need to understand Joseph and his sacrifice to truly appreciate the celebration to come. This Sunday, join us for a look at Jesus’ earthly father, and discover the strength to follow God in the face of any opposition. Associated Scripture: Matthew 1:18-25
