Good Morning Church Family!
I had quite a few positive responses to our Remembrance of Baptism experience in worship last Sunday. I’m so glad that was meaningful to so many! I’m sure you also join me in the joy of baptism this morning. At the 9am service Cade Wysocki will be baptized, and his parents Mark & Anna will join as members of Crozet UMC! What a celebration!
This morning our Chair of Finance, Mike Micucci, will also give a finance update on how we finished 2024. Spoiler Alert: it’s a good news story!
Following worship last Sunday, our Worship Design Team met and discussed plans for worship through early March. Our new worship series, which begins today, is entitled “Let It Shine.” Throughout this Epiphany Season, light continues to be a common thread throughout the assigned scriptures. The scriptures illustrate how – the light shining in Jesus – shone far beyond Israel – to illuminate the whole world. In worship together, we will see how the light of Christ reached outsiders from the beginning and continues to grow, lighting the dark places throughout our world and in our own hearts.
This past week was super busy with IMPACT meetings in Charlottesville, lunch with our senior adults at Mi Rancho, a variety of office visits, several pastoral care visits, continued onboarding for our new Administrative Assistant, Alexa, and Church Cleanup Day yesterday! A *HUGE* shout out to all who participated. We had great success in cleaning and organizing the church office storage room and basement youth area. And we were able to move all of Gary’s things back into his office following the recent construction work and sump pump replacement in the office area. It was a great time of work and fellowship!
Stay well and stay warm!
