Worship 10.3.21: Symbolism & Rites – Communion Sunday
We will start a new worship series in November, but today Pastor Sarah is going to dive into how rites and symbols can help us explore and communicate our faith. Here’s her synopsis below:
In the religious context, rites are prescribed acts and practices among the community of believers. In Christianity, many of these rites are part of our worship tradition and communal customs. We continue or develop new rites to express how we understand ourselves in relationship to God and one another in a theological understanding. This week we will explore how they can be a powerful way of conveying our faith and inviting others to experience God’s grace.
