Sermon Series: Why Methodism is Worth Saving- Social Holiness Predates Social Justice
Sunday September 12th, Pastor Sarah will continue her sermon series on Why Methodism is Worth Saving, discussing how social holiness predates social justice.
John Wesley wrote, “Solitary religion is not to be found there. ‘Holy Solitaries’ is a phrase no more consistent with the gospel than Holy Adulterers. The gospel of Christ knows of no religion, but social; no holiness but social holiness. Faith working by love, is the length and breadth and depth and height of Christian perfection.” Grounded in Scripture and the foundation of our tradition is the belief that our faith should transform and bless others; it should make the world a better place. That is to spread holiness and transform lives, people, and our society.
