May 3rd Worship – Aslan: The Christ Figure & Savior of Narnia
This week, we explore the character of Aslan, the Messianic figure of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. This lion is the fulcrum for the climax of the story, and the one who reveals the hope of the entire country of Narnia. Like our Lord, Jesus Christ, Aslan offers himself up in place of those who have sinned and deserve their punishment. As we recall the sacrifice Jesus made for us, we discover that the grace of that offering upon the cross is still poured out upon us.
