Worship and Service Update

Crozet United Methodist Church   -

Crozet United Methodist Church will not hold public worship this coming Sunday, March 29. Our activities and groups are also cancelled. Stay tuned to our website, eNews, and social media platforms for updates and last-minute changes in schedules and plans. We’ll keep you updated as the situation changes!

The exception to
this is our outreach to the community. Grace Grocery will continue to
serve our clients as we move forward. We will modify our processes to ensure
safety of our clients and volunteers, but we will be open. The coronavirus
itself and the fallout from will impact many in our community and we will continue
to serve those in need.

The ministry and needs of the church continue even as the building itself is closed meaning your donations are even more vital now.  Unlike other major entities who are canceling (such as the NBA, Kennedy Center, and Disney World), Crozet UMC does not have the financial reserves to see us through this pandemic. Contributions may be made on-line at https://www.crozetunitedmethodist.org/giving/ or by mailing a check to Crozet United Methodist Church , PO Box 70, Crozet, VA 22932.

We ask that
you join us in prayer as we move forward. Prayers for those who are infected,
prayers for those who are vulnerable, and for our leaders.  Your prayers are much appreciated in this
situation. These are difficult times but in the midst of the changes and
uncertainty, it is important to remember Jesus words:

Rejoice in the Lord
always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your gentleness
be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6 Do not worry
about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of
God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus.

Finally,
beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just,
whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is
any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about[
f] these
things. 9 Keep on doing the things that you have learned
and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

Philippians 4: 4-9
